Salvi Sports Will Add New Food Options for Fans this Summer

salvi-fb-logoChicago, IL – President of Salvi Sports, Pete Laven is pleased to announce the creation of Salvi Food & Beverage, LLC. The new company will bring new food options for minor league baseball fans of the Schaumburg Boomers (Frontier League) and Gary SouthShore RailCats (American Association).

This summer, Salvi Food & Beverage will start by bringing Ben’s Soft Pretzels to the ballparks in Gary, Indiana and Schaumburg, Illinois. While Ben’s Soft Pretzels have been featured at some home games for the Gary RailCats, they will now have a permanent home at both ballparks.

“Giving fans the best experience at the ball park is very important to us,” said Pete Laven.

“The addition of Salvi Food & Beverage will allow us to bring more dining options to our great baseball fans. Ben’s Soft Pretzels was a natural first choice. Everyone who has had one says it’s the best soft pretzel they have ever had!” Laven added.

Ben’s Soft Pretzels was started in 2008 in Elkhart, Indiana by a local business man and an Amish baker. The pretzels were first sold at Concord Mall in Elkhart and are now available throughout Indiana. They are also available at Murray State, University of Wisconsin, and at most University of Notre Dame sporting events. The pretzels have no harsh preservatives and are made with top shelf ingredients.

Owner and CEO of Salvi Sports, Patrick Salvi, first had the chance to experience a Ben’s Soft Pretzel while at his son’s Notre Dame Football game and knew it would be a great addition to U.S. Steel Yard and Boomers Stadium.

Look for Ben’s Soft Pretzels stands throughout both stadiums starting May 16th. A variety of flavors and selection of dipping sauces will also be available.
